"Buddah" rejoined Coach Chuck Daly and Bill Laimbeer after the three were together in the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1982. Edwards proved to be a valuable aquirement, providing a big body who could score easily. In each of his first 3 seasons with Detroit, the Pistons reached the NBA Finals, losing to the Lakers in 1988 in seven games before winning back to back titles.
